Who We Are
Living Our Legacy Academically Network, LLC (L.O.L.A. Network), is a mission-driven housing organization dedicated to expanding access, stability, and opportunity for underserved communities, with a focus on students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
We exist to ensure that every student, regardless of background, income, or circumstance, has a safe, affordable, and quality place to call home while pursuing their education. At L.O.L.A. Network, we believe housing is more than shelter. It is the foundation for academic success, personal well‑being, and long‑term achievement. When students have stability, they can focus on their studies, build community, and confidently shape their futures.
Our Mission
To provide safe, affordable, community‑centered housing solutions that empower HBCU students to thrive academically and personally, while strengthening the legacy, culture, and impact of the institutions that serve them.
Our Vision
A world where every HBCU student has access to equitable housing that supports their educational journey, honors their heritage, and uplifts the communities they represent.
Our Story
L.O.L.A. Network was founded on both data and lived experience. The numbers are clear; more than half of HBCU students face housing insecurity. The crisis became personal to the Founder and CEO when her son entered his senior year at Morehouse College and struggled to secure safe, affordable housing near the campus.
That moment became a turning point, and L.O.L.A. Network was founded on a mother’s determination to ensure that no student’s academic journey is compromised by the basic necessity of secure, stable housing.
